Texas Windsurfing Trailers
(and other vehicles too)

You've seen the Dog House Windsurfing Trailer...
Now check out what some other Texas windsurfers are using to haul their gear.

Doug and his homebuilt.  Check out the slick drop down fin stash.  And he's got power to watch football when the wind stinks.

Windsurfing's only see-through trailer.  After the wood siding rotted away, Bob upgraded with Lexan.  We haven't checked its bullet resistance yet.

Rey C has a homebuilt with some interesting curves.  The nose piece is curved plywood.

So long I couldn't get it all in.  Guy M's trailer is a very custom Wells Cargo - long, low and narrow.

The inside of Ken M's van.  Room to sleep if the weather stinks.  A pretty common floorplan.

A pretty common combo.  A Wells Cargo trailer and Class B Motorhome - Richard W's Sportsmobile in this case.  (He's since sold both the trailer and van to Stewar L - shown at the bottom of the page)

Nigel's big red diesel Ram.  He gets an amazing amount of gear in the bed and still has room to sleep.

Dan M's small wooden trailer.  One of many of this style.

Car Mike's small wooden trailer.  He's at least the third owner.  The previous owner (Puppy Doug) did the paint job.  The American Flag is actually a door.

Rusty's homemade.  Built on an aluminum flatbed, with a Dog House built cage that Rusty skinned in aluminum.

Charles Ivey's Canadian built trailer with opening front and back doors.

Mikey's HVAC duct trailer.  Another multi owner trailer.  Mikey is the local board repair guru.

Robert K is another of the Van crowd.  He can get three or four boards inside and still sleep on the floor.

Stewart L is about as hard core on vans as one can get.  His little Astro has a bunch of miles and a bunch of mods.  Stew's been living out off and on for a couple of years.

So you can see from the examples above that we have a lot of dedicated windsurfing vehicles in Texas.  And what I've shown you just scratches the surface.  Yeah, you can use your daily driver for getting back and forth to the lake...  But why would you want to?

Stay tuned for more examples of Texas gear hauling ingenuity...
